About Us

Lorissa holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in Communication Disorders.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, Lorissa is licensed in both the state of Illinois and Texas, and she holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

Lorissa has experience in public schools, private practice, and in rehabilitation settings, giving her a unique ability to improve outcomes across the lifespan. Lorissa is an Adjunct Professor with the Lewis University Speech-Language Pathology Program where she teaches a graduate level course and is a clinical supervisor.

Special areas of interest for Lorissa include early language impairments (late talkers), early intervention (birth to 3 years old), and aphasia.

Lorissa and her husband live in Wheaton with their two young boys and dog.
